This Standard sets out a method for the determination of permanent linear and volume changes of refractories after any or all of the following processes:(a) Drying.(b) Firing.(c) Reheating.This Standard is applicable to prefired and unfired refractories having either a regular or irregular shape. It is not applicable to carbon-bearing refractories.
