This standard sets out requirements for the application and operation of abrasive wheels (excluding natural sandstones). Requirements for the proper storage, handling, and mounting of abrasive wheels are also included.The operating requirements included in this standard are limited to important safety requirements. Requirements for the manufacture and installation of abrasive wheels and ancillary equipment are specified in AS 1788.1.
