This standard sets out requirements for the routine maintenance of automatic fire sprinkler systems. It also sets out the precautions to be taken when a system is rendered inoperative.NOTE: Although it is not classified as routine maintenance, a check on a regular basis is necessary to ensure that the installed system characteristics as shown on the block plan are adequate to protect the current occupancy and storage, and that sprinkler protection extends to all sections of the protected area.
