30-06-2017
English
01-01-1982
Specifies some properties of leaded petrol (also known as gasoline or motor spirit), with particular reference to those properties concerned with performance in terms of anti-knock value, but does not include, for example, those properties subject to variation because of the wide range of climatic conditions encountered across Australia (e.g. distillate range, vapour pressure). Includes a colour coding system for the three currently available grades of leaded petrol, and requires the RON (Research Octane Number) value of each of the grades to be displayed on the dispensing pump or container intended for public sale.
