This standard sets out a method for determining the dimensional change of textile fabrics and garments during the laundering process. The five procedures range in severity from hand washing to severe industrial washing. Two drying procedures are included, one of which involves no mechanical action while the alternative does involvemechanical action which may cause further dimensional changes to occur.
