This Standard provides recommended methods of construction, glazing, installation, protection and maintenance for windows, sliding glazed doors, adjustable glass louvres, shopfronts and window walls with one-piece framing elements, but not curtain walls using stacked or spliced framing systems, manufactured from any material and installed vertically in external walls of all classes of buildings.NOTES:1 Prefabricated bay windows which incorporate sloped glass are classified as windows in vertical walls.2 Hinged doors are not covered by this Standard.
