Specifies requirements of polyvinylidene chloride (PVDC) compound, including approved additives, used in the manufacture of plastics items for food contact applications. Prescribes the composition of PVDC granules and powders used to manufacture such items as containers and plastics films, and of PVDC dispersions used to apply coatings to substrates such as paper, board, plastics films and foils for manufacturing flexible pouches, wrapping materials and other packaging items.
