tets out requirements for four types of paint for use in the protection of iron and steel against atmospheric corrosion. Each type is defined and related properties are specified for pigment composition, mixing properties, pot life, recoating properties and storage life. Requirements are also given for panel performance tests and include preparation, handling time, metallic zinc content in applied coating, abrasion resistance, water insolubility and finish. Supplementary information to be supplied by the purchaser, notes on the use and application of the paint and a method for the assessment of abrasion are included in appendices.
