Applies to ordinary normal range and sub-normal range thermometers for measuring temperature of the human body, in Celsius scale only. The range of temperatures for each thermometer and the dimensions are specified. Requirements are given for the maximum device, glass, construction, graduation and figuring, limits of error, time of response and the thermometer container. Suggested wording for the accompanying slip is also given.
