Sets out performance requirements for the system design, installation and commissioning of emergency warning and intercommunication systems in buildings. Provides guidance for the location, functional and operational requirements, and installation and commissioning of emergency warning systems and emergency intercommunication systems. Specifies protection requirements for cabling and specific components. Appendices detail tests for hazard-resistant wiring components and sealed batteries, method of operation and response of personnel, system information, tests reports and installer's statement.
