This Standard specifies requirements for cotton, woven cellular blankets for use in hospitals and kindred institutions. The requirements specified relate to fibre content, blanket construction, colour, hemming and colourfastness. Test methods for measuring the physical properties of the blanket materials are also included.NOTES:1. For situations where fire is considered a hazard, Clause 3.4 describes test methods for determining the acceptability of cotton-woven cellular blankets which have been treated with a fire retardant.2. Appendix A contains recommendations and advice on information which should be provided by the purchaser at the time of enquiry or order.3. A sealed sample may be held by the purchaser as a reference for properties not specified in this Standard.
