Sets out requirements for the design, installation and commissioning of smoke/heat release vents in conjunction with associated draught curtains and inlet ventilation in a building, for the purpose of venting smoke and hot gases from the building in the event of fire.

This standard sets out requirements for the design, installation and commissioning of a system of automatic smoke/heat release vents in conjunction with associated draught curtains in buildings.NOTE: Principles of fire venting are discussed in Appendix B.
