This Standard specifies the characteristics and establishes the test methods and controls as well as acceptance conditions for cellulose-cement flat sheets. It covers sheets intended for external applications such as claddings, facades, curtain walls and soffits, as well as sheets intended for internal use such as linings, partitions, ceilings, floors and the like, including sheets intended for moist conditions. The sheets are finished with one of the following:(a) Their natural colour.(b) Colouring matter added to their composition.(c) Coloured or uncoloured adherent coatings on their surface. This Standard does not apply to the following products: (i) Asbestos-fibre-reinforced sheets.(ii) Cement-bonded particle board.(iii) Boards of portland or equivalent cement, reinforced with wood particles.(iv) Gypsum plasterboard.NOTE: Advisory information on alternative methods of determining compliance with this Standard is given in Appendix A.
