This Standard sets out a method for the preparation of gravimetric standard gases for which the uncertainty in the value of the concentration is less than 0.5% relative or 0.02% absolute. The method is applicable only to liquid and gaseous components which do not react with each other or with the cylinder walls and remain vapourized in the cylinder at all cylinder pressures and temperatures during the use of the contents.NOTES:1 Retrograde condensation may occur with some hydrocarbon gas mixtures.2 Depending upon the purity of source material, in certain specialized applications a higher percentage inaccuracy may result.
