This Standard designates the fundamental welding positions and specifies the limiting values of the angles of inclination and rotation for these positions.This Standard may be used for guidance by application Standards to determine a relation between welding positions for the purpose of multiple qualifications.NOTE: For the purpose of this Standard, the word 'pipe' is synonymous with 'tube' or 'hollow section' although these words are used for different types of products by different industries.
