This Standard specifies requirements for volumetric chamber and turbine meters with nominal flow rates not exceeding 3.5 kL/h and which may be fitted with electronic output devices (EOD), incorporating two independent non-return valves, (Dual CVs) for low hazard protection of potable water supply.These meters are intended for installation in water services to measure, within the accuracy limits of the class, the volume of cold potable water at working temperatures and pressure not exceeding 30C and 1400 kPa respectively. Each meter has to be capable of operating at a working temperature, without damage, of up to 50C.This Standard is applicable to meters that are self-contained and capable of continuously determining, within the accuracy limits of the class, the volume of cold potable water that has flowed through them, and that are continuously indicating the volume on a cumulative basis.
