Defines Association Control Service Element (ACSE) services for application-association control in an Open Systems Interconnection environment. The ACSE services are provided by the use of the ACSE protocol in conjunction with the presentation service. The ACSE services assume as a minimum the use of the presentation service kernel function unit. This Standard is technically identical with and has been reproduced from ISO 8649.
