This Standard specifies general requirements for the manufacture and testing of hand hammers intended for striking of wood, metal, concrete, masonry, or stone.Specific requirements for heavy hand hammers designed for double-handed use are specified in AS 3797.2 and the specific requirements for light hand hammers designed for single-handed use are specified in AS 3797.3.
