This Standard sets out requirements for absorbent wadding for medical or surgical use. It includes wadding composed of cotton, viscose or blends of these two fibres, or blends of cotton and viscose with other fibres. It includes 'cotton' balls 'cotton' rolls and pleated cotton wool wadding or similar items produced using absorbent wadding.
