This Standard stipulates the minimum requirements for drawn steel wire for use in the manufacture of wire rope other than round and flattened strand steel wire ropes for winding and haulage purposes in coal and metalliferous mines. Three types are specified: Bright wire; Heavily galvanized wire; and Lightly galvanized wire.
