Applies to the design, assembly, and inspection, in all types of steel structures, of structural joints using high-strength bolts, or equivalent fasteners, tightened to at least the minimum bolt tension specified in Table 3. Primarily these Rules apply to bolts used in "friction-type" joints but provision is also made for bolts used in "bearing-type" joints.
