Sets out rules for the installation of hot water supply systems in domestic premises and incommercial and industrial installations comparable with domestic installations. It is not intended to apply to space heating or to hot water installations in large buildings, such as multiple flat buildings supplied from a central hot water system. Such systems should be designed by a competent designer. Water heating may be by any means, singly or in combination; eg. by electricity, gas, liquid fuel, solid fuel, solar heating.
