Applies to the installation of fixed flued appliances that consume heating oil in atomizing burners, wall flame burners or other power burners of a type not dealt with by AS CB21 Part 1. The appliances are designed primarily for the heating of individual private dwellings. The code includes installation requirements for the appliance, the associated flue, the oil storage tank, and the fuel pipeline from the storage tank to the appliance. It does not include design requirements for the appliance, beyond setting out in Section 8 certain requirements that the installer should verify to ensure safe performance in the completed installation. It does not include requirements relating to the installation of any system for distributing warm air or hot water from a central heating appliance.
