Provision is made for three types (plain, plain suitable for drop-on bead application, and retroreflective (beads in paint)) and for three application classes (spraying, brushing and roller coating). Performance requirements include no-pick-up time, bleeding, night visibility, durability (resistance to abrasion and chipping, appearance, colour and gloss retention) and bead retention.
