This Standard specifies the analysis methods for determining preservative retention in treated timber. The calculations necessary for determining compliance with the requirements specified in the AS/NZS 1604 series or the relevant Standard are outlined.NOTE: The analytical methods given in this Standard are intended as referee methods for the estimation of timber preservatives. Alternative methods should be compared with methods presented in this Standard before being routinely used.
