    This Standard specifies requirements for automatically controlled small-sized low-speed passenger lifts that are installed in private residence, as defined in AS 1735.1.This Standard is complementary to AS 1735.1, but the requirements of this Standard take precedence over corresponding requirements of that Standard.NOTES: 1 Guidance on care and responsibility is given in Appendix A.2 Guidance on the selection of the preferred type of lift is given in Appendix B.
