Specifies the requirements for automotive brake fluids of silicone type for use in hydraulic braking systems of motor vehicles. In this Standard, the requirements of Grade 4 (equivalent to DOT 5) are specified, along with methods of test. Grades 1, 2 and 3 brake fluid have been deleted.

This specification applies to clear and coloured anodized aluminium finishes for general purpose, decorative, and automotive applications, in which the anodic coating consists essentially of aluminium oxide. It specifies requirements for the surface treatment of the aluminium before anodizing, the thickness of the anodic oxide coating and the quality of sealing.NOTE: When ordering to the requirements of this specification, supplementary information is required. This information is set out in Appendix A.
