    This European Standard specifies requirements for the design, penetration resistance, ergonomic characteristics, straps, weight, material, marking and instructions for use, of gloves and arm guards. It also specifies the appropriate test methods. This European Standard applies to protective chain mail gloves and to metal and plastics arm guards for use with hand knives.
