This Standard specifies requirements for the design, construction and performance of sliding, security screen doors (single leaf only), primarily used in residential situations.NOTES1 Double leaf doors can be constructed and tested in accordance with Appendix A and reported accordingly in consultation with the testing authority.2 The parts of a door should not be referred to in isolation as being the complete door, for example, the grille.3 The effectiveness of security screen doors is dependent on the strength of the door and the adequacy of its installation in the doorframe and surrounds. For installation details, refer to the Preface.
