This Standard specifies requirements for various elements/aspects of the design and installation of interior and exterior lighting systems, and for verification of the compliance of such systems with specified or target values of lighting parameters. The requirements are based on AS/NZS 3827.1 and are those considered essential to ensure that calculated or measured values of lighting parameters are of an acceptable accuracy.NOTE: The specified requirements are primarily limited to those attributes/characteristics for which quantitative criteria can reasonably be stated. There are many other attributes/characteristics of lighting systems that are important to the achievement of a satisfactory result. Although requirements for these attributes/characteristics cannot be expressed quantitatively, their importance in the overall achievement of an accurate design should not be overlooked. For further information and advice, see AS/NZS 3827.1.
