This Standard specifies the energy labelling and MEPS requirements for household vapour compression refrigerating appliances that —
(a) can be connected to mains power;
(b) are within the scope of the test standard Part 1; and
(c) are not excluded in the relevant legislation.
NOTE 1 For Australia, information regarding the scope is contained in the Greenhouse and Energy Minimum Standards (Household Refrigerating Appliances) Determination, which can be accessed at:
https://www.legislation.gov.au/. The Determination covers household refrigerating appliances irrespective of the context in which they are used. For example, the Determination applies to household refrigerating appliances used in a commercial context.
