Sets out guidelines for determining the equivalence of food microbiological test methods on qualitative tests. The protocol outlined in This Standard may be used to determine whether an alternate method will yield a result equivalent to an Australian Standard or to a Joint Australian/New Zealand Standard food microbiology method (AS 1766/AS/NZS/1766 series Standards), the result for which is reported as 'detected' or 'not detected'.
