This International Standard deals with the safety of electric ironers for household and similar purposes, their rated voltage being not more than 250 volt for single-phase appliances and 480 volt for other appliances. Examples of appliances within the scope of this Standard are ironing presses for one-person operation; mangles; rotary ironers for one-person operation; trouser presses.
