AS/NZS 61558.2.23:2011 deals with the safety of transformers for construction sites and power supply units incorporating transformers for construction sites. Transformers incorporating electronic circuits are also covered by this standard.
This Standard will supersede AS/NZS 61558.2.23:2001 three years from the date of publication (i.e. on 29 April 2014). During this period it is anticipated that regulatory authorities will approve transformers and power supply units for construction sites to either standard.
