AS/NZS 61558.2.9:2011 deals with the safety of transformers for class III handlamps for tungsten filament lamps and power supply units incorporating transformers for class III handlamps for tungsten filament lamps.
This Standard will supersede AS/NZS 61558.2.9:2003 three years from the date of publication (i.e. on 29 April 2014). During this period it is anticipated that regulatory authorities will approve transformers and power supply units for class III handlamps for tungsten filament lamps to either standard.
