Establishes minimum requirements for wood blocks for parquetry flooring intended to be laid on concrete or rigid wooden sub-floors, but does not apply to mosaic flooring factory pre-assembled. It specifies requirements for domestic and industrial grade blocks in terms of permissible defects, moisture content, manufacture, dimensions, and tolerances. Appendices list suitable timber species, describe methods for determining moisture content, and recommend suitable indoor moisture contents for various timbers and capital cities.
