Covers the complete dimensional and general data for cotter (split) pins. The inclusion of dimensional data in the standard is not intended to imply that all products described are stock production items. Consumers should consult with suppliers concerning the availability of products. Metric cotter pins purchased for government use shall conform to the standard. The cotter pins in this standard are similar to the ISO 1234 - 1976 standard pins.
