1.1This specification covers austenitic, austenitic-ferritic, ferritic, and martensitic stainless steel forgings for general use, and for low- or high-temperature service.

1.3Supplementary requirements from Specification A788/A788M may be specified when additional testing, inspection, or processing is required.
