1.1ÂThis test method covers the measurement of the elastic and short-term creep characteristics of conductors for overhead power lines.
1.2ÂStress-strain data from tests performed in accordance with IEC 61089 are compliant with this standard.
1.3ÂStress-strain data from prior Aluminum Association testing procedures are compliant with this standard.
1.4ÂThe values stated in either SI units or inch-pound units are to be regarded separately as standard. The values stated in each system are not necessarily exact equivalents; therefore, to ensure conformance with the standard, each system shall be used independently of the other, and values from the two systems shall not be combined.
