1.1This specification covers drawn and annealed or soft round bare copper wire for electrical purposes (see Explanatory Note 1).
1.2The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as standard. The values given in parentheses are mathematical conversions to SI units that are provided for information only and are not considered standard.
1.2.1Exception—For density, resistivity and temperature, the values stated in SI units are to be regarded as standard.
