1.1This specification2 covers rod and bar of low-carbon nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloys (UNS N10276, N06022, N06035, N06044, N06455, N06058, and N06059), low-carbon nickel-molybdenum-chromium (USN N10362), low-carbon nickel-molybdenum-chromium-tantalum (UNS N06210), low-carbon nickel-chromium-molybdenum-copper alloy (UNS N06200), and low-carbon nickel-chromium-molybdenum-tungsten (UNS N06686) as shown in Table 1, for use in general corrosive service.
1.2The following products are covered under this specification:
1.2.1Rods and Bars 5/16in. to 3/4in. (7.94 mm to 19.05 mm), exclusive, in dimension3, solution annealed and pickled, or mechanically descaled.
1.2.2Rods and Bars 3/4in. to 31/2in. (19.05 mm to 88.9 mm), inclusive, in dimension3, solution annealed, ground or turned.
1.2.3Rods and Bars 1/4in. to 3 1/2in. (6.35 mm to 88.9 mm), inclusive, in dimension3, solution annealed, cold worked, ground or turned (N06022, N06059, N06686, and N10276, see Table 2 and Table 3).
1.3The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as standard. The values given in parentheses are mathematical conversions to SI units that are provided for information only and are not considered standard.
1.4This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to become familiar with all hazards including those identified in the appropriate Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for this product/material as provided by the manufacturer, to establish appropriate safety, health, and environmental practices, and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.
1.5This international standard was developed in accordance with internationally recognized principles on standardization established in the Decision on Principles for the Development of International Standards, Guides and Recommendations issued by the World Trade Organization Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) Committee.
