1.1This specification covers the requirements for low leaded brass rod, bar, wire, and shapes of any specified cross section produced from copper alloy UNS No. C36300, C36500, C37000, C37100, and C37700 suitable for high-speed screw machining applications.

1.2Units—The values stated in either SI units or inch-pound units are to be regarded separately as standard. The values stated in each system are not necessarily exact equivalents; therefore, to ensure conformance with the standard, each system shall be used independently of the other, and values from the two systems shall not be combined.
