1.1ÂThis specification covers raw or calcined natural pozzolan, for use in concrete where pozzolanic action is desired, or where other properties normally attributed to natural pozzolans may be desired, or where both objectives are to be achieved.

1.2ÂThe values stated in SI units are to be regarded as standard. No other units of measurement are included in this standard.

1.3ÂThe text of this standard refers to notes and footnotes that provide explanatory information. These notes and footnotes (excluding those in tables and figures) shall not be considered as requirements of the standard.
