1.1This test method covers the determination of the air-permeability coefficient, kT, of hardened concrete by the double-chamber vacuum cell technique. The test method is applicable to laboratory testing of specimens and to in-place testing of concrete construction. The effect of moisture is considered by parallel assessment of the near-surface moisture using Guide F2659.

1.2Units—The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as the standard. No other units of measurement are included in this standard.
