1.1This specification covers foaming agents specifically formulated for making preformed foam for use in the production of cellular concrete.
1.2The function of this specification is to provide the means for evaluating the performance of a specific foaming agent. This is accomplished by using the foaming agent in making a standard cellular concrete test batch (see Test Method C796) from which test specimens are cast. Then, significant properties of the concrete are determined by tests and compared with the requirements of Section 3.
1.3The values stated in either SI units or inch-pound units are to be regarded separately as standard. The values stated in each system may not be exact equivalents; therefore, each system shall be used independently of the other. Combining values from the two systems may result in non-conformance with the standard.
