TEST METHOD FOR TENSILE STRENGTH OF PARAFFIN WAX
12-01-2013
01-07-1991
Measures tensile strength of paraffin wax with ductility not exceeding approximately 1/8 in (3.2-mm) elongation at specified temperature and relative humidity of test and having ASTM melting points from approximately 120 to 150 deg.F (49 to 66 deg. C). Outlines a way of obtaining an empirical measure of the tensile strength of paraffin wax with a ductility no more than 1/8-in. elongation at a certain temperature and relative humidity of the test, and with ASTM melting points in the range 120 to 150 Deg F range.
