1.1This practice covers the determination of bromine and chlorine in rubber.
1.2This procedure is applicable to raw or cured NR, SBR, BR, IR, IIR, CIIR, BIIR, and EPDM rubbers and blends of these.
1.3Iodine interferes, but substances such as Zn2+, S, CN−, and (CO3)2 − do not.
1.4The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as standard. No other units of measurement are included in this standard.
