1.1This practice is used for the recovery of viruses from municipal wastewater sludges and favors the enteroviruses of human origin.

1.2Both procedures are applicable to raw, digested, and dewatered sludges.

1.3This practice was tested on standardized sludges as described in 11.1. It is the user's responsibility to ensure the validity of this practice for untested matrices.
