1.1This practice covers the determination of roads and parking lots pavement condition through visual surveys using the pavement condition Index (PCI) method of quantifying pavement condition.
1.2The PCI for roads and parking lots was developed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (1, 2).2 It is further verified and adopted by DOD and APWA.
1.3The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as standard. The values given in parentheses are mathematical conversions to inch-pound units that are provided for information only and are not considered standard.
