A Withdrawn Standard is one, which is removed from sale, and its unique number can no longer be used. The Standard can be withdrawn and not replaced, or it can be withdrawn and replaced by a Standard with a different number.

1.1 This guide specifies general criteria for a supplier's declaration of conformity in cases where it is desirable, or necessary, that conformity of a product, process or service, to normative documents be indicated, irrespective of the sector involved. The supplier then may declare under the supplier's responsibility the conformity to normative documents.
